On June 6, 2025, Rotary Club Moscow International held the “Sounds of Light” charity gala at the residence of H.E. Mr. Nazih El Naggary, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This evening, under the personal patronage of the Ambassador, brought together friends and supporters to help the Sergiev Passad Institute for Deaf-Blind Children.

The gala’s unique concept transported guests into the atmosphere of Ancient Egypt through a multi-sensory journey.
- Live music filled the air—oud, bamboo flute, and Egyptian drums set the tone for an unforgettable night.
- Guests explored the rituals and beauty secrets of Cleopatra, discovering the world of incense and aromatherapy.
- Wine and perfume tastings added a layer of refinement, while ancient love songs and manuscripts were brought to life in a specially staged monologue performance, crafted in collaboration with leading figures from the Moscow theatre scene.
- The evening culminated with a participatory master class in Egyptian percussion, creating a sense of unity and shared joy among all present.
Making a Tangible Difference
The success of the event was made possible by the generosity of sponsors, who covered the costs of the dinner, welcome cocktail, wine degustation, and special charity lottery prizes—including the grand prize: a trip to Egypt for two.
A highlight of the charity auction was the presentation of unique ceramic vases, designed exclusively for the gala by artist Ambartsum Kabanyan as a tribute to the evening’s “Sounds of Light” theme.
