 4. MiraMed

Most of the orphans who leave Russian State Orphanages are reported to experience severe or even fatal emotional and social trauma in their early years of independent life. Many of these young men and women waste their lives because they cannot adapt to life outside the institutions. MiraMed Institute is an American-registered NGO active in Russia to support orphans who leave the institutions in their adaptation to an independent living. It provides orientation, social and work counseling, additional education and care to emancipated orphans.

Our Club is supporting the Centre by hiring a professional social worker.

 3. Rodnichok Center

In the last few years, the International Charity Foundation "Home of Children" commenced a project for minors in the premises of a former establishment for summer holidays of the Communist Party. In this Centre some 25 orphans can find the family warmth and education that are essential to their growth as human beings and responsible citizens. The Centre also provides temporary welcome for a recovery period (of one or two months) to young orphans from State institutions from regions exposed to nuclear radiations or from particularly poor areas of Russia.
